現代社会に生きる人間にとってセクシュアリティとは一体何であるのか、そしてセクシュアリティを考えることは法理論にどのような影響を与えるのかという問いについて、「アセクシュアル」という言葉を手掛かりに考察する。特に、ロマンティックな人間関係のあり方や友愛等と性愛による人間関係との異同を検討することを通じて、ジェンダーに関する法理論におけるセクシュアリティについての認識の深化をはかる。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, I have sought to explore the intersection between queer theory and legal theory concerning gender and sexuality, using the concept of asexuality as a key analytical lens.
Underlying this inquiry is a critical awareness of the often-unseen assumptions that persist even as contemporary society increasingly discusses the social inclusion of “sexual diversity.” This study aims to uncover those implicit premises and examine how they are connected to issues within legal theory.
Through this approach, I have sought to deepen our understanding of sexual identity and contribute to the further expansion and enrichment of legal theory concerning gender and sexuality.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
論考や書籍の刊行を通じ、アセクシュアルを含む多様な性に関する基本的な事項について、共通の基盤となりうる言葉の共有の必要性と、必要な社会改革にあたっての丁寧な合意形成の必要性を論じ、すべての人が「個人として尊重される」社会に向けての基礎的条件を醸成することに努めた。具体的には、事実としての多様性から目を背けないこと、そして、尊重すべき多様性について「なぜ」「どのように」という問いを丁寧に考察していくことの重要性を論じた。
