Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements
This study addressed the development of two essential technologies for realizing ubiquitous wireless power transfer. First, this work developed an analytical method capable of approximating the physical behavior of foreign metallic objects, which can compromise the safety of wireless power transfer systems, with low computational cost. The proposed method achieved up to 931 times faster computation and reduced RAM usage to 1/3850 compared to conventional methods. Second, this work clarified the optimal circuit structure for wireless power transfer to small-volume devices, and showed that efficient power transfer is possible without switching circuits even under conditions where the coupling coefficient is extremely small. Furthermore, this work demonstrated that ultra-low-power communication at the class of 0.36 pJ/bit can be achieved by applying current switching in the receiver circuit to wireless communication.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
