| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究の目的は、重症心身障害のある医療的ケアの必要な子どもを育てるひとり親世帯について生活上の課題を明らかにし、具体的な支援策の検討に有益な項目を整理することにある。
子に重い障害があり、医療的なケアを要するために在宅で介護と医療のケアを行うような場合、親は就業が容易でなく、経済的社会的に苦境に陥るリスクが高い。しかしながら重症心身障害のある医療的ケア児を養育するひとり親世帯が担う困難に関する実情が把握されていない。
同世帯にインタビュー調査を行うことにより、日常生活における経済面や健康面の状況、障害福祉・医療の各サービスの不足等の課題を抽出し、効果的な支援に必要な論点を明らかにする。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study categorized the challenges in the lives of households raising children with medical care into the following four categories. The study identified the need to consider specific support measures for each of the following four categories: "physical aspects" (use of welfare, medical, and administrative services for the disabled, chaperoning school attendance, etc.), "economic aspects" (unstable income, family budget dependent on benefits, etc.), "social aspects" (vulnerable social status due to unemployment/non-regular employment, physical and mental stress on family members, etc.), and "physical aspects" (deteriorating health, resulting economic insecurity, etc.). The study clarified the need to consider specific support measures for each of these aspects.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
重症心身障害のある医療的ケア児を養育するひとり親世帯の困難性は、最も深刻な状況において生じる課題であると考える。本研究において、健康状態や経済面の状況に関する生活上の支障を抽出し、不明確な点が多い世帯の生活状況の様相を４項目に分類し、課題の改善・解決に関する必要性を明示した点に学術的意義がある。
社会的意義としては、本研究の実施によって課題を抱えた世帯の生活状況の実情に関する基礎資料を収集、把握したことにより、障害児を育てる家族に対する複合的な観点に基づく支援対応のアプローチに関する示唆を得たことである。
