Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study developed a model to incorporate human health and ecosystem health perspectives into the overall sustainability assessment of sanitation systems for realizing a resource-oriented society. For human health, a model was developed to represent the disease burden cost of waterborne diseases, and for ecosystem health, a model was developed to represent the economic loss due to global warming. This revealed the relationship between the multidimensional aspect of sanitation systems, including trade-offs.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
