Outline of Research at the Start	急性期病院の大部分が、本邦の包括医療費支払い制度であるDPC(Diagnosis Procedure Combination)の対象病院であり、それらの病院に蓄積されたDPCデータは診断や治療内容、転帰が包括的に含まれており、医療ビッグデータとしても非常に貴重である。直腸癌に対する腹腔鏡手術のような高難易度手術から、急性虫垂炎のようなcommon diseaseまで外科手術の対象となる疾患は様々である。全国民が質の高い医療を受けるために外科医の育成や適性配置が課題であり、DPCデータを最大限活用し、それらを検証する。
