Outline of Research at the Start |
This study focuses on identifying key gaps and implementation challenges related to NDC- SDG coherence and trade-offs in developing countries, and to study their existing institutional arrangements and governance structures, and aims to propose plausible solutions to fulfill these gaps.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The study facilitates and provides direction to policymakers, national/regional government(s) in developing countries by identifying key gaps, implementation challenges, coupled with suitable solutions, strategies, and frameworks to improve their climate action plan and governance bringing coherence between the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the SDGs. Interesting findings were obtained, and also resulted in form of peer-reviewed journal articles, short article communication at international forums and platforms, policy briefs and preliminary findings in form of conference presentations in Sri Lanka (Online), South Korea and Japan.
