Outline of Research at the Start |
In this study, we will not measure IOP with a single sensor, but with multiple small sensors to measure the entire eye, aiming f or sensing with high spatial resolution. If this becomes possible, the relationship between visual field and intraocular pressure will become clear.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Significant progress has been made in the development of self-powered intelligent contact lenses. Achievements include successful development of a PDMS contact lens fabrication recipe, fabrication of few-layered MoS2 nanosheets, and investigation of their piezoelectric properties. Results show enhanced piezoelectricity in MoS2-PVDF nanosheets compared to pristine-MoS2 and pristine-PVDF nanosheets. Transparent conducting polymer PEDOT:PSS thin films were deposited as contact electrodes, with ongoing efforts to improve coating uniformity and transparency. Challenges remain in developing uniform PEDOT:PSS transparent conducting layer, which will be addressed by a Master student as a future work. Additionally, work was done on microneedle, microfluidic, and e-skin pH sensors throughout the JSPS period.
