分岐鎖アミノ酸 (BCAA)は筋力や筋量を増加することで知られ、筋力増強に期待されている。しかし、BCAAは期待されているような効果を示せずにいることが報告されている。それはBCAAが低分子であるがため、生体内での利用部位や時間に限界があるためである。
本研究では、BCAAに選択的かつ長時間の作用性を付加する事が重要であると仮定する。この問題を解決する分岐鎖アミノ酸含有自己組織化薬を作成し、筋力増強とその作用機序の解明を行う。
