| Outline of Research at the Start |
Symmetry engineering is a simple but pioneering way to play with the symmetry of van der Waals materials. In my research, we want to demonstrate it by a magnet/magnet interface CrSBr/CrPS4 to create in-plane polarization by non-collinear spin structure at this interface, which is so-called artificial "multiferroics".

| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
During the three years ofJSPS DC1 and PD fellowship, I completed three projects. The first one is the second harmonic generation (SHG) research on twisted WSe2/black phosphorus interface. We found that the in-plane polarization can be further tuned by the twist angle between WSe2 and BP. The manuscript is in preparation. The second one is the bulk piezo-photovoltaic effect in 3R-MoS2. We engineered the rotational symmetry of 3R-MoS2 by uniaxial strain and greatly enhanced its photocurrent response. This work is published in Nature Nanotechnology. The third one is SHG response of CrI3/CrCl3 interface. The polarization and toroidal moment are generated by the non-collinear spin structure formed in this magnet interface. The paper of this work is in preparation.
