Outline of Research at the Start

This project provides comprehensive monitoring and reporting on progress toward UHC and inequalities in African countries to support achieving Health for All. It produces a health atlas that helps policymakers identify priorities and reallocate resources properly in future national health programs.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

The research analyses trends, projections, and inequalities in UHC indicators in Africa from 2000 to 2030, assessing the probability of achieving global targets at national and sub-national levels. Significant regional and socioeconomic disparities persist, with marginalised regions exhibit wider gaps compared to national averages. While many countries have improved coverage and reduced socioeconomic disparities, some have not followed this trend.

Our findings support governments and policymakers identify gaps and revise national policies, allocate resources, and advocate for more support from global funders. They aid in planning future health programs and contribute to African governments' efforts to achieve global and national targets of Health for All and Sustainable Development Goals.
