Outline of Research at the Start

コンパクト群の帰納極限は一般に局所コンパクト群にならないが，それでもフーリエ解析の理論などが研究されてきた．それにより，群上の調和解析と群の双対上の確率論とが自然と関係する．さらに具体的にユニタリ群などを考えると，その双対の形状から，その上の確率論は統計力学と関係する．これは可積分確率論の一つの源である．一方で，表現論や作用素環論に基づき，これらの確率論や統計力学についての多くを代数的に研究できると期待できる．本研究では，こうした確率論や統計力学のうち表現論に起因する話題について，表現論，作用素環論に基づく解析の枠組みを与える．

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

与えられた空間上のランダムな点配置を点過程と呼ぶ．これは数学的には，点配置全体の集合上の確率測度であり，物理学では，ランダムに相互作用する粒子系を記述する．点過程からとったn点の統計的性質は，n点相関関数で記述される．これが2点相関関数の行列式で書けるとき，その点過程を行列式点過程と呼ぶ．これは，統計力学や，ランダム行列理論，組合せ論，表現論など多くの分野で自然に現れる．
離散空間上の点過程とCAR代数と呼ばれる作用素環上の状態の関係が知られている．さらに，行列式点過程はCAR代数の状態の代数的性質で特徴付けられる．本研究の目的は，この関係を動的に拡張することである．つまり行列式点過程を定常状態とする点過程上の確率過程とCAR代数上の時間発展を関連付けることである．そうした確率過程を代数的に構成し，解析する理論の構築を目指している．
前年度の研究で，適当な条件の下で，CAR代数上の線形半群から，点配置空間上のMarkov半群を構成した．この研究から，点配置空間上のMarkov過程の生成作用素をCAR代数に属する作用素で記述するといった結果を得たが，この結果を適用できる行列式点過程は限られていた．
本年度の研究では，KMS状態という量子統計力学で熱平衡状態と関係する作用素環の状態と確率過程に関する先行研究をCAR代数に適用し，より広範の行列式点過程を定常状態とする確率過程を代数的に構成し，解析する枠組みを与えた．
CAR代数と行列式点過程については，今後の発展の余地を残しつつも，当初の計画と比較して満足できる結果を得た．研究全体を通じて，より多くの統計力学，確率論に関する話題を作用素環論を用いて研究する予定だったが、それはできなかった．一方で量子情報理論と本研究の予期しない関係について結果を得た．
