Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、敗戦後に連合国の戦犯裁判において日本帝国臣民として裁かれた旧植民地出身戦犯の釈放過程、これに対する補償政策過程、処刑者が靖国神社に合祀された経緯を究明する。特に韓国人戦犯の釈放・補償政策の過程分析を交え、1965年の日韓請求権協定で韓国人戦犯が補償されなかった理由を考察する。
具体的に解明する点は、以下の4点である。1援護法・恩給法はなぜ旧植民地出身戦犯を援護対象にしなかったのか。2日韓会談（1951～1965 年）で韓国人戦犯への補償はどのように議論されたのか。3韓国政府の 1950 年代から 1960 年代における戦犯釈放・補償問題に対する立場。4旧植民地出身戦犯の靖国神社への合祀経緯である。
