Outline of Research at the Start |
The present study seek to find out the dynamicity of pre-service English language teachers' grit through a longitudinal study. Several other factors such as self-efficacy, self-regulated learning, and academic achievement will also be explored.
|
Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This year, the study focuses on the relationship between pre-service EFL teachers' grit (PET-Grit), L2 enjoyment, teaching enjoyment, L2 self-efficacy and teacher self-efficacy in Indonesia. The final structural model has a sufficient fit indices. The results of the study suggested that participants' enjoyment predicted their grit to become EFL teachers and in turn, grit predicted participants' self-efficacy. Additionally, enjoyment has an indirect effect on self-efficacy, via PET-Grit.
