Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、認識的徳と認識的悪徳の本性を明らかにすることを目指す研究である。
まず、認識的徳の獲得や悪徳の回避のためには、個人の努力だけでなく、適切な社会環境を整備することの重要性を示すことを目指す。また、偽情報の倫理の研究を行う。陰謀論に陥る特性が悪徳の一種であると言えるのはどんなケースか検討する。また、人々が偽情報の被害に遭いやすい環境を放置することが、制度側の悪徳であるという考えを検討する。更に、日本特有の認識的徳・悪徳の研究を行う。現代日本社会において、権力のない立場に置かれている集団には、認識的自信の徳が必要であるという考えを擁護する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本プロジェクトの最終年次である2023年から2024年は、さまざまな国内外学術イベントで研究発表を行ってきた。９月には「京都会議2023：科学と倫理の架け橋」で、日本におけるBRCA遺伝子保有者に関するPGT-M（着床前診断）と認識的不正義について、口頭発表を行った。次に、１０月には「共感とケア倫理の新たな次元の探求：異文化間および異分野の対話」という国際学会で口頭発表を行った。また１月には早稲田超域哲学研究会で「認識的不正義入門および近年の展開」というテーマで口頭発表を行った。以上のように、報告者は積極的に国際学会や研究会に参加し、発表を行った。また、発表と同時に論文や入門書の執筆も精力的に行ってきた。９月・１０月の発表の成果は現在、論文や論文集の一部として執筆中である。また、現在、認識的不正義の入門書を複数の研究者と共同で執筆中である。２０２３年10月には、『徳の教育と哲学ー理論から実践、そして応用まで』という本が出版された。報告者は徳認識論の章を担当し、過去30年の間に徳認識論の考えがどう変容してきたのかについて論じた。
４年間のプロジェクトを通じて、認識的徳という考えが善い探求者を目指す際に有効な考えであるのかという問いに取り組んできた。その際に、西洋哲学・倫理学を背景に発展した徳認識論に批判的目を向け、日本特有の認識的徳や悪徳はないかを検討した。また、個人主義的・理想主義的な認識的徳の考え方を反省し、パターナリズム・ケアの倫理との接点を模索してきた。さらに、実際にプロジェクトが進行するにつれて、認識的不正義の問題が本プロジェクトに密接に関わることがわかったため、認識的徳が周縁化された集団の知識を社会に反映するためにどれくらい重要なのかという点について検討した。
