Research Abstract |
This study has aimed at developing the mathematics curriculum for teacher education, based on the concept of "mathematical literacy" already used in new school math standard in Japan. Using the proposal curricula in our preceding research project, we developed mainly examples of teaching materials. For describing concrete mathematical literacy for (math) teachers, we studied the notion more widely such as "reference standard of mathematical science" determined by SCJ or competence-study in basic math education at universities or schools. Moreover our study gave a motivation to build a new society of school content knowledge.
