Research Abstract |
The experiential education is effective to understand electrical energy for lower grade students. We launched new experiment themes for the education program:"Making electrical cart" in Introduction to electrical engineer class for the first grade. This education program is Project Based Learning that based on manufacturing education and energy education. Students design, manufacture, and drive an electrical cart in this class. By driving feeling and power consumption value, it facilitates quantitative and qualitative understanding of the electrical energy. From the results of the questionnaire for the upper grade students who had taken this class, more than 60 percent of these students continuously recognize the educational effects. It is shown that the education program is effective as manufacturing education and energy education.
