Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to develop a specific model of reforming Japan's high school English classes in the direction of helping students develop their human character and building better interpersonal communication abilities as well as developing their English abilities, through changing English education from mindless examination preparation to a more fruitful process of intelligent learning experiences. To help make English classes more efficient and intelligent, this study implemented three plans: 1) Analyzing today's college-entrance examinations extensively, 2) developing and publishing textbooks containing suitable materials from various fields, rich in content and style, and 3) designing English lesson plans that develop students' English abilities, contribute to building students' human character, and help develop students' life perspectives, and improving it through classroom practice in high schools and universities.
