Research Abstract |
The synthesis of tungsten nitride was tried in Pb flux. As a result, WO3, W-O-N and W-N crystals seems to be synthesized in Pb flux. The XRD profiles of W-N and W-O-N compounds were not attributed to the known pettern. These results might indicate that these substances were new materials. The synthesis of ScN crystals were tried in In-Sc flux system, to which the high-pressure nitrogen gas was dissolved as the nitrogen source. As a result, ScN single crystals with no impurities could be obtained. The yields of ScN was almost 100 % against the Sc source.
