Research Abstract |
We developed THz impulse radar and THz spectral radar for advanced automobile radar. THz impulse radar achieved a distance resolution below 1 mm at a scan rate of 10 Hz, enabling us to monitor moving target in real time. On the other hand, THz spectral radar implied a possibility of object recognition based on THz scattering spectrum because the spectrum varies depending on the surface roughness of the object under test.
