Research Abstract |
During in-home medical care, nutrition and therapeutic agents, including oral anticancer agents, are often administered using a nasal tube or gastrostomy. In such cases, caregivers must prepare and administer anti-cancer drugs, which incidentally increase the risk of drug exposure to the caregivers. In this study, we assessed methods to protect caregivers from potential exposure to oral anti-cancer drugs when using a nasal tube or gastrostomy for drug administration.
