Outline of Final Research Achievements

By this study, among hundred developed rice lines, a salinity tolerant line from the BC1F4 was selected with amylose content<22% and yield is higher than 5 tons/ha. The correlation of salinity and secondary metabolites in rice was determined. Of them, the correlation of fatty acids and momilactones A and B to salinity tolerance was almost not detected . The developed rice line exhibited salinity tolerance to 6ds/m or greater but it is sensitive to shortday photoperiod and is being improved to longday photoperiod.
