Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Thought suppression is one of factors that exacerbates intrusion of unwanted thoughts into one's mind. Egodystonic appraisal to intrusive thoughts may cause thought suppression, however, it is unclear that whether egodystonic appraisal has a relationship with cognitive bias (e.g. thought-action fusion) or any other conditions. We investigated the relationship between egodystonic appraisal and thought- action fusion through a questionnaire survey. Results indicated that egodystonic appraisal induce thought suppression directly regardless of thought-action fusion.
