Research Abstract |
We have developed PoGOLite balloon-borne experiment to detect hard X-ray polarization from a black-hole binary, Cygnus X-1. While, in 2011 and 2012, there were no successful launches due to bad weather etc., we have succeeded in 2013 for the first time. During the flight, Cygnus X-1 was observed as well as other black-hole binary, GRS 1915+105, and a pulsar nebula, Crab.
