Research Abstract |
In this research project, I provided the elements that promote aggressive war in industrialized democracies, by focusing on a leader’s decision to go to war and decision to escalate military operations. On the contrary to the conventional wisdom, one cannot observe military led aggressive war in stable democracies, rather, we can observe many civilian led aggressive war throughout the history of democracies. On top of my recent achievement in proposing the concept of “Civilian’s War” which I illustrated by providing various case studies in my PhD dissertation, I conducted more detailed research of war decisions and domestic support for war.
