Research Abstract |
I planned this study to develop a new therapy for xerostomia using mechanobiologycombined with muscarinic agonists. As a result, it was revealed that salivary gland function is temperature-sensitive, which is associated with intracellular Ca2+concentration increase. In addition, it is also clarified that the saliva secretion is updated in hypotonic environment, and the involvement of Na+-K+-2Clcotransporter activity has been suggested as the cause.
