Outline of Research at the Start

宇宙最大の天体である銀河団の衝突合体は、銀河団内部の分布を激しく掻き乱すと予想される。このように衝突合体を繰り返して進化する銀河団の姿を明らかにするには、衝突合体が盛んであった遠方宇宙に遡って内部の運動を測ることが最も直接的である。そのためには、波長域でミリ波からサブミリ波に渡って複数の波長帯で同時に撮像することが有効である。そこで本研究では、最新の超伝導集積回路技術を用いてミリ波サブミリ波のカメラを開発し、銀河団の運動測定を目指す。
