Outline of Research at the Start

食品容器などのプラスチック原料であるビスフェノールＡは、胎児期における極微量の暴露での生殖系のみならず脳神経系への悪影響が知られる有害環境化学物質である。こうした化学物質の胎児期に起因する神経系影響の機構解明は、ヒト健康・安全のために必須緊要な課題である。申請者らは、最近、リピート配列に女性ホルモン・エストロゲン受容体が応答し転写活性を発揮するという新発見をした。本課題研究では、最新のゲノム解析技術と原子間力顕微鏡を用いた構造解析を統合して、化学物質暴露による脳神経影響の分子基盤を解明する。
