Outline of Research at the Start

宇宙の重要な構成要素である暗黒物質の有力な候補である原始ブラックホールや未発見の素粒子であるWIMPは、どちらもMeVガンマ線帯域に放射を持つと期待され、その発見は宇宙論に大きな影響を与える。本研究では、強力に雑音を排除し、ガンマ線の到来方向を光子毎に測定可能な電子飛跡検出型コンプトン望遠鏡を開発し、長時間高高度気球実験から天の川銀河の中心領域を深く観測することで、原始ブラックホールやWIMPからの放射を探索し、その存在を明らかにする。
