Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、20世紀前半の大日本帝国に関する英米女性旅行記研究を通し、環太平洋地域における文化外交分野での女性達の貢献を明らかにする。デジタル技術を用いたテキスト分析により文字情報を視覚化し、文学・芸術という審美的媒体を通して日英米の女性達が築いた、公の国家関係に対抗するネットワークの存在を浮かび上がらせる。女性の国際的連帯の重要性、文学・芸術の政治・外交的有用性を明らかにすると共に、デジタル技術を応用し、質的研究と量的研究を融合させた旅行記研究の新たな研究方法及び成果発信方法の開拓・提案を目指す。
