Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

In the first year of our project, we conducted a thorough literature review to establish a solid framework for studying the impact of workplace physical environments on worker health and productivity. During this comprehensive review, we identified key variables influencing workers' health and productivity at workplaces. Key questionnaire items, such as sociodemographic, health, and environmental variables, have been selected and are ready for testing. Additionally, we engaged with several stakeholders to secure access to workplace data for our study. Our findings have been shared through several publications in international peer-reviewed journals.

Current Status of Research Progress
Current Status of Research Progress

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

Our project's first year progressed smoothly due to several key achievements. We completed a comprehensive literature review and established a conceptual framework detailing how workplace environments influence health and productivity. This knowledge was disseminated through several peer-reviewed publications. Additionally, successful negotiations with multiple stakeholders facilitated data collection, ensuring we remained ahead of schedule.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

As we move forward, we are finalising the questionnaire for data collection and collaborating with several stakeholders to access their sites. A key challenge will be negotiating agreements to collect workplace data effectively. We plan to address this by reinforcing the mutual benefits of our research. Additionally, we aim to publish our conceptual framework in an international peer-reviewed journal and prepare initial study findings for dissemination, further establishing the validity and scope of our research.
