| Outline of Research at the Start |
This research aims to examine various determinants of the occurrence of child trafficking. Trafficking in children is a severe humanitarian problem that damages social harmony and leads to considerable tragedy. We propose a novel and national-representative dataset of incidents of child trafficking by scraping the posts on the website Baby Come Back Home (BCBH). This research consists of three projects; each links the trafficking to the following variables: (1) China’s highway routes between 1998 and 2013; (2) educational infrastructure; (3) the 1978-84 land reform in China.

最初に、「中国における高速道路接続と児童人身売買」と題した論文の草案を完成させました。この研究では、高速道路のインフラが児童人身売買に与える影響に焦点を当て、その関連性について探求しています。中国では、高速道路の整備や拡充が進んでおり、その影響が社会に及ぼすさまざまな側面について理解することが重要です。児童人身売買は深刻な社会問題であり、政策立案や対策の展開にあたって、その背景や要因を解明することが必要です。
さらに、学術会議に積極的に参加し、論文を提出しましたが、現時点ではまだ肯定的な結果を得ていません。学術会議や論文投稿は、研究者が自身の研究成果を発表し、他の研究者との議論や知識交換を行う重要な場です。そのため、積極的な参加と投稿は研究者としての成長や研究の発展に欠かせません。ただし、肯定的な結果を得ることは簡単なことではありません。審査や査読の過程で改善の余地や課題が指摘されることもありますが、それらを受け入れて成長する姿勢が重要です。
それでもなお、自身の研究計画を前進させることにコミットし、現在、同じ研究プロジェクト内で第二、第三の論文を執筆中です。研究計画の進行は継続的な努力とコミットメントが求められます。研究プロジェクト全体の進行状況は、各段階での進捗や成果によって判断されます。この段階での順調な進行は、研究計画が着実に進んでいることを示しています。第二の論文では、企業に関するデータセットを入手しました。このデータセットを活用して、大学の拡大が企業に与える影響を探究する予定です。大学の拡大は地域経済や産業構造に影響を与える可能性があり、そのメカニズムを理解することは重要です。

Reason
Firstly, I have completed the draft of the paper titled "Expressway Connection and Child Trafficking in China". Additionally, I have actively engaged in academic conferences and submitted papers for consideration, although I am yet to receive positive outcomes at this moment. Nevertheless, I remain committed to advancing my research agenda and am currently in the process of writing the second and third papers within the same research project. Furthermore, progress on the second and third papers is proceeding smoothly. I have acquired a dataset on firms, which I intend to utilize to explore the effects of university expansion (the second project).

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Moving forward, my primary objective is to continue submitting the first paper to relevant journals while also focusing on completing the remaining two papers within the research project. Additionally, I intend to actively seek out academic conferences where I can present my work and obtain valuable feedback from peers and experts in the field.
