Outline of Research at the Start	食中毒原因菌が形成するバイオフィルムは、薬剤による抵抗性が高く殺菌効果を低下させるやっかいな菌体分泌物である。一旦バイオフィルムが形成されると、緩和な方法では除去できず、ブラシ等を使用し物理的に剥がす以外に方法はない。そこで、水流を用いて水圧による物理的除去と、紫外線発光ダイオード（Ultraviolet-Light Emitting Diode, UV-LED）従来の殺菌剤との併用によって、殺菌とバイオフィルム形成抑制が可能になると考えた。水流を光導管に用いたUV-LEDによる殺菌効果とバイオフィルム形成能への効果、および殺菌剤との併用効果を調べ、衛生環境を向上させる新規技術の開発を目指す。
