| Outline of Research at the Start |
We will propose several new datasets with novel tasks for exploring the proposed issues, and construct tailor-made methods for enhancing the performances on both forward-looking argument mining tasks and downstream tasks.
|
| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We explore financial opinion analysis from the perspectives of understanding, generating, and evaluating forward-looking statements. In addition to presenting our work at international conferences such as ACL, LREC-COLING, and CIKM, we also delivered a tutorial at ECAI and contributed a chapter to a forthcoming book published by Springer Nature, titled Agent AI for Finance. Building on the outcomes of this research, we further pursued explorations through a series of shared tasks at NTCIR, held across three consecutive editions, inviting international research teams to engage with this topic. Moreover, we organized a workshop at IJCAI focused on the subfield of scenario planning, fostering broader discussion and collaboration with global research communities.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
In addition to advancing the discussion from multiple perspectives in academic publications, we aim to leverage the outcomes of this project to enhance the transparency and interpretability of financial information, support financial regulation and risk warning systems.
