Outline of Research at the Start

大型風車の導入が進む空域は，多くの飛翔動物にとっても重要な利用空間で，近年鳥類・コウモリ類の風車衝突事故が増加しており，飛翔動物による空域利用の実態解明の重要性が指摘されている．しかし，夜間の空域は直接観察が困難で研究は進んでいない．本研究は船舶レーダーによる広域観測に加え，分類群判別を可能にする複数の観測手法（地上から測距双眼鏡による暗視観測，上空からのドローン観測）を組み合わせることで，夜の高空域における飛翔動物相の解明に挑む．得られた分類群情報と，レーダーで同時観測した移動軌跡データを統合し，分類群ごとの飛翔状況を整理して，飛翔動物に対する新たなモニタリング手法の開発を目指す．
