Outline of Research at the Start

磁気センサアレイを用いた磁気ナノ粒子イメージングにおいて、空間フィルタ法の適用(一種の逆問題解析技術)を磁気ナノ粒子イメージングへ導入することで、アーチファクトを抑制する。
さらに、開発を進めている高感度磁気センサを磁気ナノ粒子イメージングへ適用するため、実験ならびに電磁界シミュレーションによって、励起システムを含めたシステムの基礎検証を行う。

Outline of Final Research Achievements

We have improved the measurement technique to extract only weak harmonic magnetic fields when magnetic nanoparticles are excited with a strong magnetic field to generate harmonic magnetic fields. We have also improved the inverse problem analysis method to locate the position of magnetic nanoparticles. As a result, we show that it is possible to locate multiple magnetic nanoparticles at a depth of up to 50 mm, and that the location of the magnetic nanoparticles can also be estimated in real time. Based on the above, it is expected that the application of magnetic particle imaging systems to the human body is fully expected.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

磁気ナノ粒子を含有した磁気マーカーを体内の疾患部に蓄積させ、その位置と量を体表面から検出し可視化するイメージング技術は、新しい体内医療診断技術としてその開発が期待されている。本研究では、電子回路技術を改良することで磁気センサアレイの高感度化を行い、また、逆問題解析改良を行う事で、磁性ナノ粒子の位置をリアルタイムに推定できることを示した。
