Outline of Research at the Start

熱ゆらぎのない絶対零度の量子臨界点近傍では、量子ゆらぎによって新奇な基底状態や低エネルギー励起状態が創出される。こうした新奇現象を開拓する上で、「磁場」は量子ゆらぎを有効に制御する要素であり、有限温度の「エントロピー」は量子臨界性を特徴づける物理量の一つとなる。本研究では、従来の磁場の「強さ」に加えて「方位」も制御要素として採用し、多次元磁場空間エントロピー測定という独自の切り口で、多彩な量子ゆらぎが誘起する基底状態や励起状態を可視化し、量子臨界現象を特徴づける新指標を導入する。
