我々は放射線と併用することで大量の活性酸素を産生し、放射線増感効果を顕著に増加させるナノ粒子の開発に成功し、世界的にも先駆的な立場でナノ粒子を利用した放射線増感剤の開発に取り組んでいる。
我々が先行研究で得た知見および海外共同研究機関であるメルボルン大学の知見を融合させ、予後不良の難治腫瘍であるHER2陰性のトリプルネガティブ乳がんに対して、HER2を自己発現させるようにプログラムしたMPN-mRNAナノ粒子を用いた革新的な抗原自己発現療法の開発を目指すものである。
抗原自己発現という発想は革新的ながん治療薬の開発に繋がることが期待でき、世界規模での研究開発ネットワークの形成を目指す。
