Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research is conducted to know the situation and various problems about children's eating behavior and to give corresponding solutions to the aforementioned. Necessary observations were performed at 153 nursery schools, and 115 reports and 100 episodes about lunch time were collected. From the analysis of the reports, we clarified the different behaviors observed from different age group. Based upon the completion of the observation, a guidebook on how to deal with children having different eating behavior was made.
New style cooking activities such as "Let's cook lunch with Papa" were organized and held for several times for three years. In addition, several new teaching materials such as "Ehime dietary education cards" were made with cooperation of Ehime Prefecture. These materials were distributed to many parents and teachers in the community.
