Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study examined articles on reading in magazines(educational magazines, literary magazines, general magazines, magazines for children) in the Meiji period. As a result, it was discovered that it was not common sense to include “Shousetsu” (novels) in magazines for children and the concept on supplementary reading was in the making, under the socially accepted idea that “Shousetsu”(novels) have had harmful effects on children.
