Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Two models, particle model and continuum model, are constructed to describe dynamics of charged colloids under a gradient of base concentration. In these models, effects of dissociation reactions on the particle surfaces are taken into account. Numerical simulations show that crystal states and liquid states of particles can coexist and the base concentration gradient can transport the colloidal particles. These results are compared with experimental results.
