Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we designed a clinical investigation to clarify the association between the severity of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and cognitive function, depression, activities of daily life, muscle strength, physical performance, and cardiovascular event. We found that the muscle strength and physical performance in severe OSA group were significantly lower than mild-moderate OSA group in elderly. And we found that the left ventricular diastolic function in severe OSA group was significantly lower than mild-moderate OSA group in hypertensive patients. And we are monitoring the effect of continuous positive airway pressure and performing the epigenetic sequencing.
