Outline of Final Research Achievements |
As an acceleration technique for use with MRI, compressed sensing MRI (CS-MRI) was introduced recently to obtain MR images from undersampled data. Image formation procedure based on informatics theory have complicated characteristics. Therefore, the factors affecting image quality in CS-MRI must be elucidated from the point of view of clinical application. In this study, we specifically examined the image quality of MR angiography. For MR angiography, the depictability of thin blood vessels is extremely important, but quantitative evaluation of thin blood vessel depictability is difficult. We proposed a numerical evaluation method using a simple numerical phantom model mimicking the cerebral arteries.
