Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To ease anxiety over health concerns regarding the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident, learning the basic required information about the radiation effect is very useful. Three different publications have been issued. One of which was an informative manga published to counter radiation health concerns. This manga was created so that readers can learn about pregnancy and medical radiation (URL: http://www.kyoto-msc.jp/gift_of_happiness/jp). The second publication, a text book for nurses was also created using a short manga to help them understand clinical radiation exposure. This text book has been adopted in a college in Fukushima prefecture. No lectures on radiation, as of yet, have been carried out on nursing courses in Universities around the world. The third publication, a small booklet for the general public to learn about radiation health effects was also prepared.
