Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to establish a Family Support Care Model for cancer patients with young children, we surveyed female cancer patients, their partners, and nurses. Patients and their partners face difficulties with explaining cancer to children and parental care. On the other hand, nurses find it difficult to support cancer patients, their children, and partners from the terminal stage to bereavement. Based on the survey results, we have established a Care Model that can be used from the diagnosis of cancer to the treatment period, and from the terminal stage to bereavement period.
