Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In the background of the Nobel Peace Prize was established in the 19th century, the rise of democracy and nationalism were present in Europe and U.S. The confusions and aspiring to the new values of the era were fostering the concept of " peace ". It was the founding of the Nobel Peace Prize as a PR or Media role to convey widely the concept of peace . The Nobel Peace Prize, through two world wars and then the Cold War in the 20th century, has changed its role strategically from the " Euro-American Peace Prize " to " World Peace Award". The Prize does not directly assist to end wars and conflicts, does often evokes controvercy over the candidates, however, casts a spotlight over the issue that people should be aware of. Even without conducting of military force , the Prize has been shown that it is possible to contribute to peace in the public diplomacy role.
