Research Abstract

Usual freezing process causes completely cell death in the vital tissue. Cells Alive System (CAS) is a particular freezing technique which restrains cell death during freezing at minimum. Purpose of this research was to develop replantation technique of amputated, CAS frozen, and thawed animal leg. As results, although replanted leg resulted in complete necrosis eventually, very useful findings for the future were achieved. That is, progress of performance of CAS freezer as to produce quicker and more uniform freezing, and adjustment and preparation of cryopreservation solution would lead to future success.
