| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In the first year, I produced the chair design based on the advice from hospital doctors and nurses, and patients, so that the in & out patients could spend their waiting time comfortably. The accomplishment was introduced at the Italian Furniture Exhibition in April, 2012 and got a high evaluation. Moreover, the design concept was developed at the concert hall with a viewpoint of healing by music from 2013 through 2014. This project gave a chance to added a new design element of musicality to the original function of care and hospitality in a very attractive and innovative way.
Every time I performed a popularity vote with the comments from visitors, and used the date in order to improve and redesign the chairs in terms of features such as form, color and comfortableness. This lead us to the conclusion that not only practical functions but also artistic devices are necessary for decreasing the stress and nerve of people while waiting.
