Outline of Final Research Achievements |
(1) The difference of the perceived seriousness of crime by culture was earlier assumed to be trivial. However, after 1980s, some studies reversed the abovementioned interpretation. (2) The degree of difficulty of performing a crime calculated by a self-reported crime(delinquency) scale seems to have a high correlation with that of recognition about the seriousness of crime. Further study is needed to perform a close inspection.
