Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The present study examined the development of emotional function and of self among children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) through self-understanding inquiry as well as psycho-drama. The main findings of the study were as follows: (1) multifaceted approach such as clinical practice combined with the questionnaire method is effective on this research topic;(2) comparing ASD with the typically developed, distinctive character of ASD on self-understanding were shown;(3) it is important to consider life-span development on support for ASD;(4) psycho-drama is effective support method to develop both emotional function and self among ASD.
