Research Abstract |
I studied relationship between deiabetes and epigenome modification regulated by ketone body metabolism. Knock down of one of two enzyme which metabolise ketone body affect methylation of histone H3. Moreover, disruption of ketone body metabolism affect stress induced cytotoxicity in pancreatic beta cells. These results suggest that ketone body metabolism link epigenenome modification and cellular function.
